Artist a day!
WASSILY KANDINSKY
(1866-1944)
Simultaneously with Rembrandt,Although the title of "father of abstraction" has been attributed to several artists, starting from Picasso to Turner, only a few painters maintain it with as many motives as Kandinsky.
During the last decade of his life, he experienced an enormous reputation among critics and collectors, most prominently the support of the collector Solomon Guggenheim.
Consequently, today, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum holds one of the artist's most exquisite collections of works.
