Question: Should I Quit Making Art?

It can be difficult to make a decision whether it is best to stop making art. It isn't simple as there are many reasons for and against it.

To decide what you want to do in life, you should think about what your priorities are & figure out if a stable job is essential to you. Once that's figured out, it should be easier to make other decisions.

But if you're looking for a fulfilling facet of your life, it's time to keep pursuing your creative pursuits.

If you are struggling with the decision of whether or not to quit making art, I recommend that you think about the following:

Why do you want to be an artist?

What are your goals for life and as an artist?

How much independence do you want in your life?

What level of life quality would you like?

Is this art going to take care of you?

You could talk to someone close to you who's dealing with something similar or otherwise speak to a professional such as a therapist.

This can help you sort through your thoughts and get advice for the future.

When deciding whether to quit or keep making art, help from a friend, family member, or creative expert is a good idea. They can provide you with advice and ideas about your plan.
