MARC CHAGALL
(1887-1985)
Marc Chagall was a French artist who lived between 1887 and 1985. He was considered modernist and was associated with few major artistic manners.
He focused on creating artworks in various formats, such as painting, drawings, colored glass, book illustrations, background sets, ceramics, tapestries, and fine art prints.
Chagall paintings estimate from $12 million to $18 million. Simon Shaw, co-director of Sotheby's, said: "It's very rare that we see major Chagall works from the teens, 20s, and 30s".
