Kiki Smith is a German-born artist of American nationality whose work has addressed the themes of sex, birth, and regeneration.

Kiki Smith's sculpture was recognized in 1978 when he was given the Award of Merit medal by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She became a member in 1979.
